Cookie Policy
Effective June 26, 2026 · Version 2026-06-26
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies TaskNeuron.ai uses. We use only what’s needed to run the Service securely — no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Some are essential for the site to function (for example, to keep you signed in); others are optional. We use only essential cookies, described below.
2. Cookies we use
- Session cookie (
tn_session) — keeps you signed in. It is HTTP-only, sent only over HTTPS in production, and scoped with SameSite protection. Without it you cannot stay logged in. - Bot-protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) — when enabled, Turnstile may set cookies to verify you are human during signup, login, and password reset. This is a security measure to block automated abuse.
- Referral attribution — if you arrive through a referral link, a short-lived cookie records the referral so we can credit it if you sign up.
- Preferences — your browser may store local preferences (such as light/dark theme) to remember your choices.
3. Why we don’t need a consent banner for these
The cookies above are strictly necessary for authentication, security, and core functionality, which generally do not require opt-in consent. Because we do not use advertising or analytics-tracking cookies, there is nothing optional to consent to. Should we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will request your consent first where local law (such as the EU/UK ePrivacy rules) requires it.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the Service.
